How to Help

Animal welfare is not a responsibility given to the few, but it is everyone’s business. We encourage everyone to help us with our goal of a country free of suffering animals, of a world where humans and animals co-exist harmoniously and peacefully. Be the voice of the voiceless! Become one of our volunteers and together we fight the battle for those who cannot speak for themselves.

MARO has a steady need for dog and cat food, for medicines and for transport opportunities. We also welcome dedicated volunteers to help us out with our duties and follow up reports of abused or lost animals. We are looking for foster parents who are willing to temporary care for animals until they are vaccinated, taken to our shelter or brought to a permanent adopter. We are supporting foster parents and adopter even after the animals are taken, we provide ongoing medical treatment if needed.

MARO has various sources and benefits to minimize costs and expenses. We buy medicines and stock wholesale and optimize all processes, we compare providers but do not compromise on quality. Where there’s no time we make time, where there’s no donation we provide our self and reach out for generous humans.

To provide donations of products please contact us beforehand for suitable brands and budget sources. Since we still need to pay bills for veterinaries, rent, commodities, transports, documents and spay/neutering we depend on your financial help. The entire team of MARO, officers and volunteers, work on voluntary and unpaid basis. Only volunteer staff and MARO’s caretakers receive allowances and honorarium.
